Legal structure 

The dual education system of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Mannheim is a corporation under public law and at the same time a state institution in accordance with § 1 Para. 1 DH-ErrichtG [Dual Hochschule Errichtungsgesetz = Dual Education System Establishment Act] of 12.12.2008. The dual education system of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Mannheimis a legally non-independent subunit of this University in accordance with § 1 para. 2 DH-ErrichtG of 12.12.2008.

The service provider in terms of  the TDG [Teledienstgesetz = Tele-Service law] and the MDStV [Mediendienste-Staatsvertrag = State Treaty on Media Services] is the State of Baden-Württemberg as responsible body of the dual education system University, represented by the Minister for Science, Research and Art, Theresia Bauer.
